NEW - CATCH THE SATURDAY BUS!
There are no membership fees required to join the Pole-R Bears. However, there are advantages to being a paid member of the JDF Senior's Activity Centre which include:
BUS TRANSPORTATION ROUND TRIP to and from our Saturday walks Current fares vary from $2.50/person round trip and upward depending on distance and time.
There are 24 seats available and we must have a minimum of 15 PRE-PAID (non-refundable), seats in use to make the bus trip viable.
"Ticket Priority" rules are:
STAGE 1: JDF Members who have had a Nordic Pole Walking lesson from a Certified Instructor and who own their own Nordic Poles have first priority.
STAGE 2: NON-JDF Members who belong to the Pole-R Bear Club may purchase a ticket the week before IF there are any seats still available
STAGE 3: If there are still any seats left 3 days prior to the trip, Nordic Pole Walkers of other clubs are invited to join us.
Re: Juan de Fuca (JDF) Membership: So as not to be disappointed, we strongly encourage you to renew or purchase an annual membership at the front desk of the JDF Senior's Activity Centre. The cost is $107 for the entire year. You will be asked to fill out a form with your Contact and emergency Contact Information and you will be given a Membership number which you will need to have for each bus ride or activity you are part of at the centre.
